About GiftCardMall

The short version

GiftCardMall is a free website that tells you how much money is left on your gift card. You type in the card number, expiry date, and PIN, and we show you the balance. That's it. No app, no account, no fees.

Why this exists

We built GiftCardMall because checking a gift card balance is way harder than it should be. Every card issuer has a different website with a different form buried three pages deep. Some of them want you to create an account first. Others only let you check by calling a phone number and sitting through a two-minute automated menu.

We figured there should be one place where you can check any card. One form, three fields, instant results. That's what we made.

How it works behind the scenes

When you enter your card details and hit the button, we send those details to the card issuer's system and ask for the current balance. The response comes back in a few seconds, and we show it to you on screen. Your card info is used for that one request and then it's gone — we don't log it, we don't store it, and we don't share it with anyone.

We support most major gift card issuers in the US, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and a long list of retail and restaurant brands. The supported cards page has all the details.

What we don't do

We don't sell gift cards. We don't buy them, trade them, or transfer balances between them. GiftCardMall does one thing: balance checks. We'd rather do one thing well than a bunch of things badly.

We also don't run ads. No pop-ups, no banners, no "download our app" prompts. Just the tool.
